The Butler County Area Vocational-Technical School (Butler County AVTS) is an Occupational School which provides 16 programs of study to 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students from the following Butler County School Districts: Butler Area, Karns City Area, Knoch, Mars Area, Moniteau, Seneca Valley, and Slippery Rock Area. Course offerings include Air Conditioning/Heating/Electrical Occupations, Automotive Technology, Building Construction, Carpentry, Collision Repair, Computer Networking and Security, Cosmetology, Culinary Arts, Diversified Occupations, Graphic Design, Health Assistant, Heavy Equipment Repair, Machine Technology, Protective Services, Sports Medicine, and Welding. Approximately 1,000 students are enrolled each school year. Adult Education Programs are also available during evening hours. Our grounds consist of three buildings and covers approximately 120,000 square feet of building space.
