Students created this Javelin Runway by pouring cement and using techniques such as; screening, bull floating, finishing, edging, brush finishing all while using different trowels to level and smooth the cement. This was a team effort amongst all three sessions.

Did you know a cement truck is one of the heaviest trucks on the road?

About the Program

Career Cluster: Architecture & Construction

CIP Code: 46.9999

A student in the Building Construction program will be introduced to careers in the commercial and residential building industry. The student will receive training in carpentry, electrical, masonry, plumbing and touch on welding and fabrication skills with emphasis on residential applications. The active participation in theory and practical work results in the yearly construction of a complete modular home on the BCAVTS campus.
