Ethan received 10th overall out of 29 competitors at the Penn College CTE Diesel Competition on December 8-9, 2023. 

All competitors received a $1,000 scholarship and Ethan additionally received a Snap-On lady slipper bar set for his 2nd place accomplishment in Steering and Suspension.

A student in the Heavy Equipment Repair program will be introduced to maintenance and repair of gasoline or diesel powered machinery. Extensive study of computerized components, transmissions, drivelines, electrical/electronic systems, brakes, braking systems, differentials, hydraulics, steering, diesel engines, and gasoline engines is included in the curriculum. Lecture, guided hands-on experiences, job shadowing, internships, cooperative education, scholarship opportunities, apprenticeships, and job placements are the foundations of this class.
