Mr. Hughes, Welding Instructor

Mr. Jacob Hughes, Instructor

Hello there!

My name is Mr. Hughes. I started teaching in 2022 after 10+ years in the industry.

I spent 7+ years in the welding field, and the following 5 in welding sales. My experience in both aspects of the industry gives me a very modern and realistic approach to this, amounting to quality results.

The students in the welding program will be treated as if it were a real life, job-like atmosphere. I want to prepare my students not to just be a welder/fabricator, but also to succeed as an employee. We will all be held to high standards and will work hard, but also have an enjoyable atmosphere in our shop.

WE Roses 3/8/2024
Roses by Natalie Karch & Hannah Michael

While the Welding seniors were busy taking their NOCTI, Natalie and Hannah worked on these two hand crafted roses. They used GTAW and GMAW welding processes to create them. The project took about two days to complete. Notice the different color for each rose, this is due to the metal heating up during the welding process.
